Queenstown Rovers will push for a turnaround in their fortunes when they play the Otago Youth
Development squad in a premier league soccer clash in Dunedin this Saturday.

The Rovers went down fighting, 1-0, to league leaders Dunedin Technical at the Events Centre last Saturday. It took Technical until the 65th minute to break the deadlock, with dead-eye striker Aaron Burgess netting his 22nd goal of the season.

Two days later the Rovers lost by the same scoreline again when they took on Otago University in the second round of the knockout Chatham Cup competition.

In Central Otago League matches, Southern Lakes lost 5-4 to Alexandra, Rovers Reserves beat Wanaka AFC 3-0 and Wakatipu United lost 5-2 to Central Galaxy. The teams will play catch-up matches in coming weeks.
