Queenstown Rovers remain top after thrashing Southend United 8-1 at the Events Centre.
The resort team lead 4-1 at half-time thanks to goals from Rene Gonzalez, Daniel de Sousa and a brace from free-scoring Andrew Mobberley.
Mobberley’s now scored eight goals in three games, with the brace coming on the back of a hat-trick last week and four goals in fixture before that.
But he wasn’t the top scorer on Saturday.
Strike partner ‘Big’ Allan O’Sullivan matched Mobberley’s heroics with four goals of his own, all coming in the second half.
Rovers lead the Southland Premier Men Donald Gray Cup division with 35 points after 10 games, four points ahead of Queens Park.
