Queenstown schoolgirl plays ball-girl in big Test

An 11-year-old Queenstown schoolgirl had a ring-side view of the Four Nations rugby league Test in Dunedin last Saturday.

Remarkables School student Anika Moetaua was chosen as a ball girl for the Test between the New Zealand Kiwis and England at Forsyth Barr Stadium.

Originally she was going to be ball girl only for the curtainraiser.

Anika’s dad Teaukura Moetaua managed the New Zealand 18s rugby league teams for the past two years and is a former president of the Southland District Rugby League.
