Queenstown Rovers’ men went down 1-5 to the Northern Hearts during a knockout Chatham Cup soccer game last Saturday.

Former Rovers coach Steve Henderson says the team, down 2-1 at halftime, changed tactics but it didn’t work.

“We got caught having to chase the game. It opens holes at the back and we let them run away with it in the last 10 minutes.”

The Rovers are at home this Saturday for a FootballSouth Premier League game against Dunedin’s Northern.
“Northern are a spot above us so it’s a fairly critical game for us,” he says.

The game starts 2.45pm at the Events Centre.
