Queenstown-based M Development’s Tim Mackersy and Barry Moore were thrilled to take third spot in the South Island Endurance Race Series three-hour race at Invercargill’s Teretonga at the weekend.

The Queenstown pair, who’ve driven together for six seasons, with their VW Golf GTI TCR, had their eye on top spots for the overall race this season, after winning their class championship several times and the national class championship three times.

Mackersy: ‘‘We love the car, we’ve driven it for a few seasons now and it never fails to impress.’’

Moore adds they have a “phenomenal team who never give up”.
