Organisers of Queenstown’s first Golden Oldies World Netball Festival want volunteers.
The international event runs from November 1-8 and helpers are needed for the opening ceremony at Earnslaw Park and also on game days.
Duties include crowd management, assisting with a quiz night, team registrations and bar work.
It’s also hoped 52 local schoolkids will be picked to lead the teams into the November 1 opening bash.
“Volunteers play a huge part not only in the success of the festival but people’s overall perception of a place,” festival boss Corina Ngatuere says.
“They become ambassadors for Queenstown and their friendly faces and helpfulness are invaluable.”
