Despite travelling away, Queenstown Cricket Club’s seniors and senior reserves both won their 40-over Otago Country finals last Saturday.
In Oturehua, the seniors posted 210, Swaran Sandhu scoring 85, then held Maniototo to 190 – Adam Hubber and Sam Bastin both took three-wicket bags.
In Alexandra, the senior reserves scored 192, then rolled Molyneux for just 76 – Gihan Fernando took 5 for 17, including a double hat-trick, and Emma Campbell took 4 for 11.
Back in January, the seniors were also joint winners of the Otago Country T20 comp.
