It looks close but Dunedin Albion’s Daniel Ford safely makes his ground despite Queenstown wicketkeeper Neville Perkins shattering the bails in their away game at Logan Park in Dunedin last Sunday.

Albion was dismissed for 266 in the 50th over of this southern zone semi-final of the national club cricket knockout competition.

Queenstown were then bowled out for 184, with 15-year-old Michael Collins top-scoring with 42, followed by Sean Windle’s 40.

A day earlier Queenstown, minus three players due to injury and other commitments, lost an away game to Alexandra in the Koford Cup.

Alexandra passed Queenstown’s 192, dominated by captain/coach Perkins’s 82, for the loss of only four wickets.

Queenstown’s next Koford Cup game is against Dunstan this Saturday at the Events Centre from 1pm.
