Kiwi Olympian ski racer Ben Griffin (left) – racing in the New Zealand National Alpine Champs slalom battle at Coronet Peak yesterday – is having a stellar season.

His recent top form has shot him into the world’s top 125 alpine racers. He’s now NZ’s highest world-ranked men’s ski racer in 20 years.

The Ohakune lad nabbed NZ’s giant slalom alpine crown in the national champs at Coronet Peak on Tuesday. He came 17th in the slalom yesterday.
