It’s workmate against workmate at Saturday’s annual Peak to Peak event in Queenstown.
Among those facing off are competing teams from NZSki’s two snowfields The Remarkables and Coronet Peak and three teams from Ngai Tahu Tourism’s Shotover Jet, Dart River Jet Safaris’ and Hollyford Track.
The 44km race involves a ski or board down The Remarkables, bike ride to Frankton Beach, kayak to Queenstown Bay, run to the base of Coronet Peak and bike ride to the top. Shotover maintenance boss Brett Dingle says: “There’s been a lot of smack talked. It’s going to be hilarious.”
The Dart River Jet Safari team is fundraising for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and has so far raised $400.
