Queenstown pro golfer Ben Campbell bagged a ‘W’ in the Omaha Beach ProAm played recently.

Rounds of 67 and 66 were enough to give him a one-shot victory from behind 10 days ago.

He began the second round tied for third, three shots behind leader Fraser Wilkin.

Three birdies put him out in front before a hiccup in the form of a bogey on 10 and then two more birdies which had him one shot behind Wilkin after the 16th.

But pars to Campbell and bogeys to Wilkin were enough for Campbell to walk away with the win.

After high placings in two recent Charles Tour events it was the icing on his comeback
from injury

‘‘[It’s] nice to get the win … it’s been a long road back but I am looking forward to getting back into PGA tour golf in the near future.’’
