Big score by Kelvin Heights boys


Kelvin Heights carried their unbeaten streak in this season’s Mountain Scene Twenty/20 cricket league into the fifth round last Friday. 

They racked up a formidable 186 runs against Fernhill/Sunshine Bay. 

Kyle Paterson – helped by five dropped catches – top-scored with 86. Fernhill/Sunshine Bay fell 46 runs short in reply. 

Jack’s Point had a close win in the other game last Friday to stay third. 

Wakatipu finished nine runs short of Jack’s Point’s 136. 

Wakatipu’s Brad Robert­son took four wickets for four runs. 

Lake Hayes Estate defaulted last Sunday to Frankton, the only other unbeaten team, while a game between Arrowtown and Central Queenstown was postponed.
