The Arrowtown Premiers rugby side lost second spot in the Central Otago competition after its game against Maniototo was cancelled last Saturday.
The game was canned due to snowy road conditions, with both teams awarded two points.
Cromwell A, however, leapt into second spot at the end of the first round after Clyde-Earnscleugh defaulted to it.
Arrowtown coach Hayden Finch believes the whole round, which only featured two games, should have been cancelled.
In those two games, both played in Queenstown, Alexandra beat Wakatipu Wanderers 15-0 and Wakatipu thrashed Cromwell B 54-0 in a White Horse Cup fixture.
The win meant Wakatipu remained unbeaten throughout all 10 games of the first round.
Wakatipu finished on 46 points followed by Cromwell A on 41 and Arrowtown on 39.
The second round, starting this Saturday, features separate top-six and bottom-five competitions.
