Arrowtown’s moved to the top of the Central Otago premier rugby comp after a comfortable 24-0 win over Upper Clutha.
Hooker Ben Carr played well as Arrowtown produced a good overall team performance at Queenstown Events Centre on Saturday.
Carr impressed with his accurate the lineout throwing in difficult conditions.
Luke Mullen, Kane Dodds and the in-form Laurence Wadham scored tries for the hosts, while Wadham slotted two conversions and added a penalty.
Best for Upper Clutha was young hooker Zac Shields, while newcomer Willie Short impressed at halfback.
In other action, Alexandra had its first win of the season, beating Roxburgh 25-12, Clyde Earnscleugh beat Vincent Shield winners Cromwell 24-7 and Matakanui Combined rumbled Maniototo 12-5.
