Queenstown Primary new entrants - the Mini Blacks

Little Ben Barke (above) gets off to a flying start at his second touch rugby game on Monday.
The six-year-old is playing in a team of Queenstown Primary new entrants – the Mini Blacks – as part of the weekly Touch Southland competition at the Events Centre.
Team manager Maria Rapata says the kids were so inspired by the All Blacks during the Rugby World Cup they wanted to form a team.
“They wanted to be just like the All Blacks,” she says.
The Warehouse gave them free black t-shirts and water bottles and local screen-printers Fetch NZ printed the logos.
