“Salt” was originally conceived as a Tom Cruise movie, but fortunately he had to pass. Thank goodness for that.
Evelyn Salt (Jolie) is a highly trained CIA operative who appears to have been set up by the Russians as a spy.
On the run with the CIA hot on her high heels, Salt needs all of her training to elude her captors, led by Special Agents Peabody (Chiwetel Ejiofor) and Winter (Liev Schreiber)...but is she who she says she is? Is she really a Russian baddie, or one of the good guys?
This is one of the better action movies I have seen since probably the last Angelina action flick, “Wanted”, and if you are after a high-speed, high-octane, twisty-turny, non-stop action movie, go watch Salt.
There are some fantastic action sequences in this, Jolie doing many of the stunts herself.
This definitely got the thumbs up from me and the others I was watching it with. We were on the edge of our seats. They say too much salt can elevate your blood pressure, and they weren’t wrong!
