Four Whakatipu building companies are in the running for national Registered Master Builders House of the Year awards.
DCD Ltd’s made the cut in the new home ($1.5 million-$2m) category and for the new home over $2m.
In that category it’s up against AJ Saville Builder Ltd and John Gavin Construction for their respective Queenstown houses.
Other southern finalists are CDL Building for a property in the builders’ own home category, Dunlop Builders for a renovation over $1m and a showhome, and Turnkey Homes for a new home ($1.5m-$2m), all in Wanaka.
W. Hamilton Building is also a finalist in the new home over $2m for a Dunedin pad.
Registered Master Builders CEO David Kelly says this year’s regional comp had more than 347 entries across 11 regions.
The national awards, scheduled to be held in November, will recognise the Supreme House of the Year, Supreme Renovation of the Year, category winners and craftsmanship, feature home, lifestyle, outdoor living excellence, bathroom excellence, sustainable excellence and kitchen excellence awards.
