Raph Beazley will be one of the young guns on deck at The Remarkables on Saturday in the K2 Parklife Mini Shred as he counts down to the Winter Games.

The Hawea Flat 14-year-old, a member of the New Zealand Freeski development team, has been skiing competitively since the age of 10. He’s aiming towards the Big Air, SlopeStyle and Halfpipe events at next month’s Winter Games.

In January 2008, Raph’s parents Luke and Debra Beazley took the ski tyke to Colorado for his first back-to-back winters. While there he qualified for the US Junior Olympics but couldn’t compete as his three-month visa ran out. Mum Debra says they’ll be a lot better prepared when they return there in January 2010.
