It's balmy: England's Barmy Army is coming to Queenstown's Events Centre oval

The famous Barmy Army is coming to Queenstown.

The England cricket team – followed by their supporters including the vociferous Barmy Army – is playing a four-day warm-up game against a New Zealand XI at the Queenstown Events Centre this summer.

The game – from February 27-March 2 – is confirmed in the itinerary for the team’s NZ tour, released today (Thursday).

The Queenstown match comes ahead of a three-Test series against NZ, starting at Dunedin’s University Oval on March 6.
