Take a brolley to tomorrow’s UB40 concert, Mountain Scene weather guru Chris Stephenson warns.
Stephenson, who had 23 years in Metservice, says a cold front is expected to move over the region during Friday which will bring rain and a wind change from strong northwesterlies to cooler southwesterlies.
“Rain in the western ranges in the morning will gradually spread further east around midday,” he says.
“Northwest winds will be quite gusty before the rain sets in, however we should see the rain clear away mid afternoon when the south west change comes through. Towards evening we should see clearing skies with a cool southwest breeze.”
The British reggae maestros – on their Red Red Wine Vineyard Tour – touched down in Queenstown yesterday.
They play Waitiri Creek Winery tomorrow night.
