Climber Tyago Yoshida says farewell with a gravity-defying “slackline” walk at Steamer Wharf.
He’s shifted to Sydney after three years in the resort, but couldn’t resist one last balancing act in Queenstown Bay on the morning of his departure earlier this month.
“I’ve been doing this for more than five years, first in Brazil then in New Zealand,” Yoshida says. “Slackline is popular with climbers and we do it for fun when we’re not on the walls.”
Yoshida performed a similar stunt near Jack’s Point last year between boulders.
