Water babies

The youngsters – members of St John Youth, a leadership programme for kids aged six-18 years – were last week working on their water safety skills to achieve one of nine badges comprising first aid and healthcare.

Some 32 kids attend the weekly meetings – and there’s space for 10 more littlies aged between six and nine to join the Penguins group which begins next term, says Wakatipu youth divisional manager Lynn Cain.
