Local musos pumped out tunes at Queenstown’s Kia Kaha Canterbury concert yesterday (Sunday) to raise about $14,000 for quake-struck Christchurch.
Funds raised from a silent auction will be added to that amount, which will then by doubled by Queenstown service station BP.
Thousands turned out to catch 10 hours of local acts at Earnslaw Park from noon until 10pm.
Bands included the Station Agents who also performed a day earlier on the Saturday before a 17,000 strong crowd at the Gibbston Valley Winery Summer Concert.
Queenstown groups Mutz Nutz, Mojo, The Sequin Sisters, Deadlier Than The Male and Cartel were also in the line-up.
