New yoga oasis opens in CBD
Husband and wife yoga instructors Greg Dorn and Sandi Murphy are limbering up for the opening of their new downtown studio.
The local couple’s yoga and natural healing centre – located above Brazz and overlooking the Village Green – aims to be an oasis of tranquillity in bustling central Queenstown.
Yoga Nadi offers lunchtime and early evening classes during the week and Murphy also specialises in teaching kids’ yoga, pregnancy and mums and bubs.
At an open day on Saturday, from 9am-6pm people are welcome to drop by for a chat and a cuppa, try a class and/or receive an acupuncture or massage taster for free, Dorn – also a traditional Chinese acupuncturist – says.
Designer book signing
Leading English interior designer William Yeoward conducts a book signing in Arrowtown next Tuesday.
The function will be at the showroom of his New Zealand distributor, Cavit & Co. Yeoward – whose latest book is William Yeoward at Home – has his name on exclusive crystal, furniture, fabric, wallpaper and rugs, and owns stores in London and New York.
Anyone wishing to attend the function, from 6pm, is asked to contact the showroom.
Author drops into Arrowtown
Former Queenstown-based author Sarah-Kate Lynch visits Arrowtown this Sunday on a book tour promoting her latest novel Dolci di Love.
Tickets for the 4pm function, at Dorothy Browns Cinema, cost $39.99.
That buys a copy of the book and a glass of Italian wine.
