Snapping up the Wakatipu

Wakatipu residents are showing their Queenstown to the world. 

These are just some of the entries submitted so far in the ‘I love Queenstown’ competition run by Queenstown Airport’s minority shareholder Auckland Airport. 

The competition requires entrants to upload a picture symbolising their take on Queenstown to www.ilovequeenstown.co.nz by May 21. The winner gets return flights for two with Jetstar to Auckland, a weekend at the Novotel and $1000 spending money. 

Auckland Airport marketing manager Bridget Sparron says some images will also be used overseas to promote Queenstown to potential visitors. 

“It’s a great opportunity to show not just what the pro shooters see but what the people who live in the area also see.”
