Shot-ski world record attempt on hold

An attempt to break a world record in Queenstown this Sunday for the biggest shot-ski has been postponed due to bad weather.

The attempt – involving 264 ‘shot-skiers’ – was to be held on the downtown Recreation Ground but will be rescheduled because of expected poor weather.

The record, set in January in Breckenridge, Canada, involved 95.4 metres of shot glass-mounted skis bolted together, and 192 participants.
