Parents’ standard warning to school kids about peer pressure and following the crowd was made redundant in Queenstown last weekend.
Wakatipu High School year 13 pupils celebrated the end of the secondary school days with a free bungy jump.
More than 200 students have jumped for free over the past four years – courtesy of AJ Hackett.
“The ‘Rite of Passage’ initiative is about recognising the link between us and students the school,” the firm’s marketing manager Mike Voyce says.
“We see this as an opportunity to share the experience with local students who have grown up alongside the Kiwi icon.”
