Queenstown has a starring role in the latest episode of worldwide TV reality hit The Bachelor.
A new series of the glamorous dating show is attracting almost 10 million viewers in the United States, where it’s shown on the ABC network. And on Monday, American fans were glued to their screens when the programme stopped off in Queenstown.
Television heart-throb Jason Mesnick was snapped by Mountain Scene last November when he was shooting scenes for The Bachelor in Queenstown Gardens.
In the show, the handsome single dad gets courted by 25 gorgeous women as he bids to find true love.
Now down to the final three girls, in this week’s episode Mesnick woos stunning contestant Molly Malaney with a tandem bungy jump from the Kawarau Bridge.
Just before they take the plunge she gushes: “I’m taking this huge leap of faith with Jason. It’s such a scary, scary experience but I think it’ll be a little ground- breaking for our relationship.”
