Queenstown police are continuing their search for a missing woman – and asking residents to check their outbuildings.

Renee Lisa Barrett, 42, has not been seen for several days. Her vehicle was found at Kelvin Heights.

Barratt has medical conditions and both police and family members are concerned for her safety.

Police, Queenstown and Wanaka Land SAR members and the Queentown harbour master are all involved in the search –  about 30 staff in total.

The search is focused in the Kelvin Heights area of Queenstown, including a lake edge search.

“Residents in the area are requested to check any outbuildings to assist”, senior sergeant Dave Scott, of Southern District Command Centre, says.

Police canvassed the neighbourhood and conducted an aerial search on Friday night.

Anyone with information should call Southern Police on 03 4411622.
