Night skiing in Queenstown is to resume.
Coronet Peak cancelled Friday and Saturday night skiing last week to ensure optimum conditions for day-time customers.
However, in a statement tonight (Wednesday) Coronet Peak ski area boss Hamish McCrostie says colder temperatures and snowmaking this week mean they’ve decided to reopen at night.
“It’s been great to see a return to more normal conditions this week. Temperatures have come down again and we’ve been able to get the snow guns on,” McCrostie says.
“We have good coverage on all the main trails and our snowmaking and grooming teams are doing a fantastic job making trail surface conditions top notch.”
Night skiing operates every Friday and Saturday night from 4pm to 9pm.
