Queenstowners are being encouraged to enter a battle of the brains tomorrow night at a Canterbury quake quiz fundraiser.
Big Pub Quiz organiser Matt Booth hopes to raise thousands of dollars for the Red Cross Christchurch Appeal while providing locals with light entertainment and “a flexing of the grey matter”.
Local musos Margaret O’Hanlon and Mark Wilson will belt out tunes and there’ll be an auction of coveted items including local mountain season passes plus tickets to Elton John’s November concert in Dunedin and plenty of other prizes.
The $10 tickets can be bought at Memorial Hall when doors open at 7pm. The competition begins at 7.30pm.
