Queenstown greenkeeper mixing it with Tiger Woods

A leading Queenstown greenkeeper is literally rubbing shoulders with embattled golfer Tiger Woods at the US PGA Championships this week.

Jack’s Point superintendent Simon Forshaw was spotted on TV One sports news earlier this evening checking out the four-time US PGA Championship winner’s swing at Whistling Straits.

Forshaw and Queenstown Golf Club superintendent Ryan Irwin are working as volunteer greenkeepers at the Wisconsin course for a week.

Forshaw, understood to be a long-time personal friend of Woods’ Kiwi caddy Steve Williams, was invited by his mate to walk 10 holes today, ahead of the 92nd annual tournament which begins tomorrow.
