Queenstown and Fiordland’s Real Journeys tourism group has scooped up the Tourism Export Council’s Operator of the Year award.

Members of TEC – formerly the Inbound Tour Operators Council or ITOC – voted for Real Journeys at the council’s awards night in Masterton last week.

Real Journeys sales and marketing director Ryan Ingram is delighted.

“Real Journeys is committed to the continued growth of its key visitor segments and working with inbound partners is a huge part of this,” Ingram says.

The TEC board judged operators on innovation, marketing, business operations, communications, accessibility and industry relationships.

Three finalists were selected and TEC members then voted Real Journeys into the top spot.

TEC represents 250 tour operators and suppliers throughout New Zealand.
