A Queenstown casino’s night of blues has raised almost $6000 for those stricken by the Christchurch earthquake.
SKYCITY Queenstown Casino, in conjunction with the Wakatipu’s Richard Stringer, hosted Blues for Christchurch on Sunday night.
The event raised $5899.40 to go to the New Zealand Red Cross 2011 Earthquake Appeal.
A large crowd turned out for the night of blues, kicked off by with Stringer and his Big Sky Band. They were followed by Kiwi guitar maestro Billy TK Jnr and his group.
SKYCITY Queenstown Casino executive manager Michelle Baillie says they enjoyed putting on a quality blues evening and are thrilled with the amount raised for Christchurch people.
