Queenstown adventure prize is the perfect break

A dream Queenstown getaway has been “just what we need” for three Auckland friends.

Sharon Hubert, Steph Erskine and Liz Beaumont are nearing the end of the Ultimate Queenstown Adventure – Mountain Scene’s 365 Queenstown iPhone app competition which provided five adventures in six days.

Flying into Queenstown courtesy of grabaseat and getting around town with Apex Rental Cars, the trio stayed at a luxury Blue Peaks apartment and experienced an AJ Hackett Bungy, a Shotover Jet ride, a Milford Sound trip with Over The Top Helicopters, a ride on Skyline Gondola and Luge and a lake cruise to Walter Peak on the Earnslaw.

It’s the first time in several years the women have stayed in the resort and they’re blown away by the surroundings and activities.

“It’s been great – the break is just what we need,” Erskine says.

Hubert, who won the 365 Queenstown app competition, adds: “Thanks so much – it’s been awesome, lots of fun. Queenstown’s beautiful.”

Brisbane student Dean Moss, the Australian-based competition winner, arrives in the resort with his two mates next week to claim the same prize.
