These Queenstown kids could benefit from improvements at the Plunket Rooms if fundraisers are successful.
Pictured (from left) are Caitlin Roberts, two, Taylah Miller, 19 months, Benjamin Haddow, four, with Plunket room supervisor Belinda Ricketts, who are looking forward to further outside play area developments at the Henry Street facility.
This Saturday, the annual Trash and Treasure event, for parents to buy and sell pre-loved kids’ toys, clothing and equipment, is at the Queenstown Primary hall from 10am-midday.
Plunket president Jane Hamilton says the committee hopes to raise $900 for finishing the outside area with a sandpit and toys. More is to be raised at a Garden Tour on December 9.
“The outdoor area upgrade will be a real asset,” Hamilton says.
The committee’s already raised $18,000 for ground levelling and artificial grass with sponge matting.
