If you want to know how to pour a good Heineken, ask Queenstown bartender Dianna Pacey.

The London’s operations manager beat off other Central Otago/Southland bartenders to become one of 16 semi-finalists to compete in the Heineken Star Serve national finals in Auckland last night.

The winner – unknown at press-time – competes for the ‘best Heineken bartender in the world’ title in Amsterdam, Holland, in October.

Pacey, who says the secret to pouring a good beer is “natural talent”, expected to be “terrified” at last night’s finals.
