The older brother of the Queenstown builder linked to the Scott Guy murder investigation says his sibling is “doing all-right”.
Last Thursday a 21-year-old local man appeared in Queenstown District Court facing six separate charges several years.
The man, who has name suppression, hasn’t been charged in relation to the murder of Feilding farmer Guy, gunned down on July 8 last year.
The builder’s brother, who also can’t be identified, says his sibling – who has been bailed to a Queenstown address – is managing “all-right” but can’t comment further.
The 21-year-old has reportedly been described as placid and unaggressive.
“I really do want to back that up but honestly I can’t make any comments,” his brother says.
Guy’s brother-in-law Ewen Kerry MacDonald, 30, has been charged with his murder. He’s expected to defend the charge.
Guy’s father Bryan told Radio New Zealand last week that information from the 21-year-old Queenstown-based man led to MacDonald’s arrest.
The Queenstown man is due to re-appear in court on April 18.
