Meet NZSki’s new customer boss

A Queenstowner with a major customer service and snowsport background has taken a new role with local skifield operator NZSki.

Fiona Boyer will look after guest services and snowsports school teams at Queenstown’s Coronet Peak and The Remarkables and Canterbury’s Mt Hutt.

As ‘general manager customer’, she says a key part of the role is “connecting the dots seamlessly for our customers across the whole mountain experience”.

“This will look at everything from how we are engaging with our community, our schools, competitive teams, guests from New Zealand and offshore, and thinking futuristically about our offering and customer journey.”

Boyer’s spent the past nine years as Queenstown Resort College’s head of coaching and facilitation.

Five years ago she set up the Ambassador programme for frontline tourism staff, especially, which she spread out into five other regions.

Brought up on Coronet Peak, Boyer’s a former national-level alpine ski racer, a mantle now taken by her daughter Alex Hull, and a newly-qualified Snowsports NZ alpine technical director.

She’s “super-excited” about helping the skifields deliver “absolutely world-class customer experiences every day”.
