Queenstown’s Gibbston Tavern’s hosting a fundraiser tomorrow to support a woman facing terminal cancer, and her family.

Dunedin-based Tacey Millard, who’s pictured with her partner, long-time Queenstowner Ian Lindsay, was diagnosed last month with stomach and lymphoma cancer.

Her friends, Gibbston Tavern owners Karine and Pete Robertson, have been donated numerous items by local businesses which will be auctioned and raffled off tomorrow to supplement a Givealittle page, ‘Help Tacey Celebrate her life!

The page was set up to ease the family’s financial burden and allow them to create memories in the short time she has left.

The couple, who own Dunedin hospo outlets Biggies Pizza and Suburbia, have two daughters, Georgia, 11, and Ivy, 4, and were about to get married.

Lindsay ran Arrowtown’s Royal Oak pub for its last owners, Ann and John Mann.

Profits from alcohol sales at tomorrow’s fundraiser — which starts at 3pm — will also go to the family.
