Who doesn’t like a treasure hunt?

Queenstown’s Welcome to Winter celebration next month features the inaugural Queenstown Preschool and Nursery’s ‘Great Family Treasure Hunt’ on Sunday, July 10, in the Queenstown Gardens.

Prizes are up for grabs for keen sleuths who can find a painted stone or two — pictured decorating one is preschooler Zoe Morris, watched by Alex Carnero Ribera, who are both four.

There’ll also be spot prizes for the best costume.

The hunt runs from 10.30am till noon, followed by a sausage sizzle courtesy of the Queenstown Lions.

Tickets, $20 per family, plus fees, are for sale via Eventbrite.

Proceeds will go towards an upgrade of the preschool and nursery’s tamariki sleep rooms.
