Ahead of its monster annual book fair this weekend, pupils and teachers at  Queenstown’s St Joseph’s School dressed as book characters this week.

Pictured are students, back row, from left, Indigo Cox, 9, Oisin Cantwell, 8, and, front row, Tilly Twycross, 5, and Tom McCondrach, 6.

Thousands of books of all genres are for sale at Sunday’s fair on the school grounds from 10am till 2pm.

Fan-favourite stalls, like home baking, Filipino BBQ and potato spirals are back, along with a bouncy castle for the first time, while anyone taking part in the chocolate wheel, bidding at the silent auction or buying raffle tickets stands to win some handsome prizes.

Senior students also organise their own stalls.

Fair-goers are encouraged to BYO coffee cups and reusable bags.

Funds raised go towards, for example, school camps, equipment, and, appropriately, upgrading the school library.
