Life’s a symphony again

Just five weeks after an operation to remove a cancerous brain tumour, much-loved blind Queenstown musician Mark Wilson is back tinkling the ivories.

The brave pianist is recovering well at his parents’ house in Cromwell after spending time at Dunedin Hospital.
And his retired vicar dad, Rev Boyd Wilson, is delighted at being treated to a few tunes.

“We brought Mark’s keyboard from his home in Queenstown and he’s managing to get a bit of practice in,” Rev Wilson says.

“He’s keen to get out and start playing a few gigs but although he’s improving, he’s still a bit away from that stage yet.”
