Michael Sly (pictured from left), Kevin van der Water, and Deborah and Grant Coburn are outside the Coronet Peak base building drumming up a night of rocking and rolling at the Queenstown Auto Extravaganza.
Earlybird tickets to the rock ‘n’ roll theme night on February 28 are on sale at $90 – $5 off – till December 20.
Deborah Coburn reckons the theme is fitting, given the era of most cars that will roll into the resort for the three-day event.
“We felt that a lot of people coming to the car show would be into that whole theme,” she says.
They hope to sell about 600 tickets for the night, which includes entertainment by Auckland-based band Tom Sharplin & The Cadillacs, a buffet meal and buses up to the venue – the Coronet Peak base building.
Dressing up in 1950s kit is optional but with a $5000 dance-off prize, boogying on the dance floor is almost mandatory.
All proceeds from the night go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
