– Queenstown charm didn’t win over spoilt Kiwi socialite Jaime Ridge during a free luxury trip in June. The Queenstown episode of reality show The Ridges aired last week and showed Jaime and her mum Sally scoring flights, accommodation and dining at the Queenstown Hilton hotel, a helicopter flight, a day’s skiing at Coronet Peak with personal coach Nils Coberger, a bungy jump and prime seats at the Thriller in the Chiller charity boxing event during Winter Festival. According to the episode, Jaime had to lose a few kilograms before her Fight for Life weigh-in so didn’t eat during most of her Queenstown stay. Despite it all being laid on for her, a hungry Jaime told the cameras: “It was, like, the worst day of my life.”

– Not to worry – asked about her favourite golf course in The Cut’s latest edition, New Zealand’s world number one amateur female golfer Lydia Ko said: “I love all the courses around Queenstown. I don’t know if I could narrow it down to one.”
