These staff at Queenstown’s Pig & Whistle pub expect a St Patrick’s Day onslaught.
Kenny Greig (left) and Jodie Heath, of England, plus Ireland’s Cillian O’Faolain will have a long weekend, starting with ‘St Practice Day’ on Saturday.
Sunday’s festivities, celebrating Ireland’s most-recognised of patron saints and the arrival of Christianity, include live music from 1pm with Hair of the Dog and Rock Felony from 9pm.
Irish pub Pog Mahones opens at 10am with rugby between Ireland and Italy. The kitchen plans Guinness-infused mousse, pastries and oysters.
“It’ll be all go, all day,” Pog manager Tom Cairns says.
