It looks picturesque – but this Queenstowner reckons he was suffering “a blood rush to the brain” to be out there.
This scenic shot of Ian Bell enjoying a cup of tea in the snow at Arthurs Point last year has made it into a new book Weather (inset), featuring photos captured through the camera lenses of New Zealanders.
The book is fronted by TV One weatherman Jim Hickey.
Queenstown features strongly – most prominently in the snow section – in the compilation of 2011 images, sent in to One News by viewers.
This particular photo was taken during the first big snowstorm of the 2011 winter, Bell says.
“I don’t actually normally sit in the snow like that, but it’s a great view.”
