A local woman processed for drink-driving at Halloween was ferrying kids around who were tricking-or-treating.
The 46-year-old was breathalysed and taken to Queenstown police station for a blood sample after pranging her car in Fernhill at 7pm last Saturday.
“She had allegedly driven up the wrong driveway, attempted to leave the steep driveway and bellied the car on a wall causing minor damage to the vehicle,” constable Daniel Andrew tells Mountain Scene.
“She’d been driving kids around trick-or-treating at the time.”
Andrew adds: “It was a bit untidy and we are awaiting the results of the blood tests.”
The woman can’t be named because police haven’t laid charges.
