A Court of Appeal case involving a high-profile Wakatipu man convicted for an indecent act has been adjourned.
The man, trying to have his 2012 conviction overturned, was to appear on Monday. It’s understood he’s changed his lawyer.
The man, in his sixties, made unwanted sexual advances towards a married Alexandra woman, 50, in late 2011.
When convicted last year, he was ordered to pay $6500 to her. He asked for permanent name suppression – Judge Michael Crosbie turned down the application, but interim suppression continues.
A date for a new appeal hearing has not yet been set.
