Great Southern storms awards

Queenstown-based Great Southern Television is up for the most gongs at the Qantas Film and Television Awards next month. The company has 20 finalist nominations – nine more than its nearest rival –
including two in the prestigious Best Feature Film category for Apron Strings and Show of Hands. Great Southern’s Wakatipu creation The Pretender is up for three TV awards, including former Arrowtowner Bob Maclaren as Best Actor. Queenstown’s Sam Neill is a Best Lead Actor finalist for his performance in the movie Dean Spanley.
